My Story

At 5-years-old, I saw my first trapped spirit while growing up in San Antonio, Texas. I can remember every detail about what he looked like from his slicked back inky hair to the blue wool fabric of his suit and the intense stare in his dark eyes. His presence was confirmed for me by several family members but we always whispered about him and the other trapped spirits in my childhood home. I learned to be fearful of these encounters, unwilling to communicate, evading uncomfortable energetic situations and sightings for the next several decades of my life to the demise of my health and spirit. I also learned that this ability ran in my family, although it remained a shameful “open secret.”

Not until 2020, when the pandemic shut me into my home, surrounded by the fear of death, did I lean into a silent listening that I hadn’t experienced since my childhood. And there, I heard the voice of my long-deceased grandmother/abuelita saying hello, sending me her love, and encouraging me to gather some spices from the kitchen cabinet to cook some arroz con pollo for my partner.

With much prompting from loved ones and spiritual guides, I have embraced my mediumship skills as a gift, yearning to no longer see it as a burden, a strange secret, or a curse. For the last three years, I have worked on expanding my abilities to speak to the dead through various coursework on building my intuition and employing energetic techniques, studying from my favorite mediums, meditating daily, crash course living in New Orleans, and connecting dear friends to their deceased relatives.

I’ve found that my skills bring comfort, healing, and love to those who seek it. Like me, my clients have created new relationships with loved ones after they are no longer in bodily form. I’m honored to act as a resource for those who are seeking this kind of connection to spirit and for those in spirit to reconnect with their loved ones. I do this work to honor the legacy of those in my family who were not able to speak freely about or act out in the open their abilities, and to help the next generation in our ancestral line.

What to expect

A reading will contain:

  • Introduction to my methods & answering any immediate questions
  • Consent, grounding, and protection for both reader & client
  • Providing client name information and the deceased person they’d like to contact (If there is no specific person in mind, it is possible to receive messages from multiple spirits.)
  • Discussion around the messages being received including any questions from reader or client
  • A closing and cleansing

Keep in mind:

  • It is important to keep an open heart and clear mind for reading. I will not read anything without consent so there is no need to be afraid of what I might see.
  • There may be pleasant or confusing surprises in a reading. Sometimes, a message might not make sense in the moment, but may become very clear in the days following a reading.
  • Take what resonates and leave the rest.

My Healing Arts

In addition to being a writer and a medium, I am a visual artist. Allowing myself to become an artist – no longer on the sidelines as a lifetime admirer – widened the door to my communications with the dead. I have come to realize that this is not a coincidence; my mediumship and my art feed each other. They exist in a symbiotic relationship. Art brought color to my world, it helped me express the visceral, the feelings without words, the unexplained, and worlds beyond our “known” worlds.
